World of Jazz in Mourning for Top Snapper

Summary


PHOTOGRAPHER Jamie Hodgson, who took haunting black and white pictures of jazz greats such as Ella Fitzgerald (pictured) and Louis Armstrong, has died of cancer at the age of 76.

Hodgson recently fulfilled a dream by displaying his unseen images in an exhibition called Masters of Jazz at the National Theatre, which runs until 28 January.
