Holding four-day-old son Adam in her arms, she spoke of her delight and defended her decision to have a 12th child.
Mrs Wulf, who has 20 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, said: "I hate to raise one baby alone without a sibling." Adam was born in Redding, California, after Mrs Wulf, who is blind and has diabetes, underwent a course of in-vitro fertilisation.
