PASSENGERS on a transatlantic flight from Gatwick were convinced they were going to die when they suddenly hit turbulence and a stewardess repeatedly screamed: "We're going to crash".

Passengers, drinks and bags were tossed in the air on the flight to Las Vegas. As people clung to their seats, the Virgin cabin crew member screamed every time the plane dipped during the half-hour episode.
