WARNER MUSIC is reportedly prepared to raise its bid for struggling music group EMI, the British company that is home to Norah Jones and Joss Stone, on condition it opens its books to the Americans.
Warner has made an indicative offer of 260p a share but could lift it to 280p if it is reassured by what it sees. However, it is also said to be struggling to justify paying any more than that.
