JOHN TERRY insists David Beckham's revival has been so successful he has to be one of the first choices for England.The midfielder impressed when he was recalled to the international set-up last month after being jettisoned at the start of Steve McClaren's reign as head coach.

He is struggling with an ankle injury and will have to negotiate the effects of trans-Atlantic travel to build on his comeback after joining LA Galaxy, but Terry wants him there for the friendly against Germany on 22 August and the rest of the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.
