AS Barbara Amiel made extra readies by selling a reprint of her most recent article in Canadian magazine Macleans to The Sunday Times yesterday (upgrading only the headline from "This is embarrassing" to "Conrad and I were betrayed"), the paper's online readers seem less than impressed.

"The world's tiniest violin strikes up..." notes one, while another suggests: "Could she perhaps give to charity, seeing as her entire life has apparently been 'wiped out'? That seaside luxury home, the designer clothes, the gold jewellery and the pedigree dogs in the photo would do for a start! The woman's absolutely delusional!"
