INTERIORS architect Jonathan Tuckey has a special affection for old buildings. He specialises in adapting, reshaping, converting and updating existing properties. "Before I set to work, I like to get to know them, to understand their history, find out why and how they were built," he says.

His company, which employs architects and interior designers, has a portfolio of projects ranging from homes and offices to art galleries and nightclubs. "Once I've got a feel for a place, then it's possible to make changes, starting from the inside out."
