THE ROW at one of London's most prestigious literary clubs, The Literary Society, rumbles on. Now former editor of the Sunday Telegraph Sir Peregrine Worsthorne has resigned. This follows the resignation of Robert Harris, who left in protest after Lord Armstrong was elevated to Chairman even though his most famous literary venture was when he tried to suppress the publication of Peter Wright's Spycatcher.

Sir Perry was known to be unhappy with Lord A's appointment but he insists it is not over this that he has left.
