NETWORK RAIL is causing even more delays than disgraced Railtrack - despite billions in extra investment.

Leaked figures show that, in the year to March, the not-for- profit organisation was responsible for delays totalling 13.7 million minutes. This compares with the 12.8 million minutes for Railtrack's final year in 2002.
