CITY bankers are splashing out up to Pounds 50,000 for top of the range "package holidays" to escape the British winter .
Upmarket travel agents are seeing a surge of bookings for trips to long-haul destinations such as South Africa, the Seychelles and Oman. There is also growing interest in more adventurous - yet still highly exclusive - destinations such as Borneo and Greenland. The trend is in contrast to the struggling "mass market" holiday sector, which has been badly hit by the growth of budget airlines, airport restrictions and terrorist attacks aimed at tourists.See the full content of this document
