TENS of thousands of commuters were caught up in "catastrophic" travel conditions today after blizzards lashed the South-East, closing hundreds of roads and hitting train services.
The worst affected area was Kent where up to six inches of snow fell causing massive problems on motorways including the M25 and M20, with the Army put on standby to get essential health staff to work and to help stranded motorists.See the full content of this document
