FORMER prime minister Sir Edward Heath went "cottaging" for gay sex in the Fifties until he was told itcould harm his political career, a leading Tory claimed today.

Brian Coleman, a senior Conservative member of the London Assembly, also declared that gay men effectively run the party in the capital, whether as officials, councillors or volunteers.
