'Consumers should look seriously at capped or fixed-price energy deals. The savings available today average TO SWITCH or not to switch, that is the tricky question exercising the minds of millions of householders as they face price rises for gas and electricity.
Powergen, the second-largest energy supplier in the UK, is the latest to increase consumers' bills with a hike of 24.4 per cent for gas - the biggest-ever - and an 18.4 per cent rise in electricity.
