The streetbike has enjoyed a huge rise in popularity as commuters realise that they can get the performance of a "real" superbike but in a machine that's comfortable to ride in town.

In a nutshell, streetbikes are pareddown bikes without the full fairings and stretched-out riding position of racing models. Sitting upright means you can see your way through traffic while still benefiting from the power of a superbike. This leads to a machine that's easy enough to ride to be a first bike but also capable of scaring the life out of you when you pull away from lights. And on a streetbike you'll also be able to weave through London traffic easily.
