Summary


ANDREW Gilligan's opinion piece (5 June) is, on the whole, the first sensible piece I have read on the Government and police failure to think intelligently about terrorism.

I live in Forest Gate, on one of the two streets that remain cordoned off following last week's raids. For 15 years, I have also been involved in the community organisation that helps with the housing and medical needs of the now-terrified family who were neighbours of the arrested men, and whose own home was raided.
