SINGAPORE Telecommunications , South-East Asia's largest phone company, said fiscal secondquarter profit rose 62% to S$766 million (Pounds 250 million) on solid growth in its Australian Optus unit, which it bought from Cable Wireless. Optus reported a 92% jump in quarterly profit but some analysts question whether that will continue.
