If you lusted after Jason Flemyng (right) in Guy Ritchie's gangster films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch, you might consider buying a Pounds 550,000 property off Battersea Square. The twobedroom, split-level flat, with a hi-tech kitchen, a terrace and off-street parking, is in the same Nineties block as the Putney-raised heartthrob. The only drawback, admits estate agent Featherstone Leigh, is its 36-year lease.
Well-heeled ornithologists should consider buying an apartment in Riverside Quarter, between Wandsworth Bridge and Putney Bridge. To appease its displaced feathered population, developer LCR has floated four "bird barges" - former military landingcraft fitted with nesting sites, grassed areas and potted vegetation. "It was actually a condition of the planning permission from Wandsworth council," explains FPDSavills. "Herons, cormorants, ducks and even a family of swans are already living there." Flats range from Pounds 305,000 for one-bedroom to Pounds 1.23 million for a three-bedroom penthouse.See the full content of this document
