GARY GLITTER was condemned by a judge today for "disgusting and sick" abuse of two young girls as he was jailed in a Vietnamese court.

But the former glam rocker - real name Paul Gadd - could be free by November after he was sentenced to three years in prison for committing obscene acts with two girls aged 11 and 10. Gadd claimed he was the innocent victim of a conspiracy. There was anger as the judge said that in accordance with Vietnamese law he was passing a lesser sentence because Gadd had paid the girls' families $2,000 each in a bid to have the charges dropped. The offence carries a term of between three and seven years.
