Summary

THE EU wants to relax wine-labelling laws to help European producers compete with New World agribusiness. Apparently, it might mean Chteau Enormo being made in Sweden from grapes grown in Bordeaux. Domaine Chapoton, Les Fruits de Galet 2005, Ctes du Rhne (Berry Brothers, 3 St James St, SW1; 7.25) A typical spicy Rhne blend, dominated by syrah and grenache. Bright cherry and plum fruit, with a little more depth than most straight Ctes du Rhnes.
