PARLIAMENT'S chief standards watchdog was under fire today after "letting off " Tessa Jowell over a portfolio of pub shares bought by her husband.

Sir Philip Mawer was under pressure to mount a proper inquiry into the Culture Secretary's nondisclosure of the shares, which are alleged to have netted David Mills a quick Pounds 67,000 profit.
