A TOP-LEVEL row has erupted between Home Secretary John Reid and the Attorney General over the "soft sentence" handed to dangerous paedophile Craig Sweeney.

Mr Reid is understood to have angered Lord Goldsmith by leading a chorus of protest at the five-year minimum tariff handed out to Sweeney, who kidnapped, abused and injured a three-year-old girl.
