Skelton Admits Libel Over Showjumping Dope Claim

CHAMPION showjumper Nick Skelton is to pay more than Pounds 20,000 libel damages and legal costs over a claim in his autobiography that one of his horses tested positive for a banned substance because of contamination from another owner's horse.

A High Court judge in London heard that Skelton (above) claimed in his book Only Falls And Horses that a vet spoke of having treated a horse with the substance belonging to jumper Keith Doyle.
