SOME globalisation doesn't need multinationals. When it comes to telling the story of a punctured heart, the blues has ignored borders. To test the theory, the Barbican has been tasting blues from all over the place in its weeklong festival World Got the Blues and it all wound up in one fine evening with two concerts and four mind-blowing performers who, in different measures, perfectly expressed the constituent parts of this poetic music: the mournful, the dirty, the dusty and the downright bluesy.
