FASHION is having a Daisy Dukes moment. The shortest of shorts are hitting the high street for summer, inspired by the countless stars who have been donning cut-offs. Lindsay Lohan, no stranger to a bit of exposure, this week showed Samantha Ronson what she is missing in her shorn-off jean hotpants, while Megan Fox's dinky denims will doubtless get the geeks drooling almost as much as the giant robots in this summer's Transformers sequel.

But ladies beware: this is not a look many of us can master. The gods have not blessed us all with Fox and Lohan's slender frames and perfect pins. Slim Sarah Harding, from Girls Aloud, looked strangely stocky in her cut-offs.
