UP TO Pounds 2 billion of station upgrade contracts on the London Underground are to be given to specialist construction firms after beleaguered Tube maintenance company Metronet admitted its handling of the work has been a shambles.
In a significant volte face, Metronet today said it is farming out the first contracts to refurbish and rebuild 84 stations. The programme is already behind schedule.See the full content of this document
