IT WON'T surprise anyone that Fabio Capello has always had ambitions to look down on the world as a high flier. But while most managers are driven by the dream of lifting the Champions League trophy or the big prizes in domestic football the Italian, who today officially takes over as England manager, has a passionate desire to pilot a fighter plane.

"I've always enjoyed the sensation of flying and my passion in life has been to become a pilot," he said. "The tops for me would be to land a fighter plane on an aircraft carrier. There you go lots of adrenalin." The 61-year-old Italian (right) is hooked on adrenalin and the buzz he gets from football. A decade ago he gave himself a year off but the absence of pressure in his life made him miserable. "For me to be happy I need stress," he said.
