The City Academy, Hackney, is reviving the traditional mealtime to teach pupils table manners and discipline and counter concerns that such behaviour is no longer learned at home. The secondary in Homerton Row opened last month in Pounds 35 million buildings with hi-tech facilities. But it has adopted some of the strictest and most old-fashioned lunch rules.
