IT SEEMS you just can't keep a jailbird royal phone-tapper down. On 26 January last year Clive Goodman, the former royal editor of the News of the World was sentenced to four months' imprisonment for his involvement in the phone-tapping scandal that also caused his then editor, Andy Coulson, to resign. Goodman has now resurfaced at the Star on Sunday and has been credited with a story about how John Prescott was "clobbered with the Pounds 3,320 bill for cleaning up his former official London residence" at his flat in Admiralty House.

Ironically, Goodman's deployment to the Star on Sunday's newsdesk emerged just weeks ago revealed around the same time as his former prey, Prince Harry, was revealed to be serving in Iraq.
