THE PARENTS of heroin addict Rachel Whitear today described a controversial portrait of their daughter as abhorrent and called upon the Saatchi Gallery not to display it.

The painting, created by stripper turned artist Stella Vine, shows the 21-year-old in her school uniform with blood pouring from her mouth. It was bought by Charles Saatchi for his Bankside gallery for an exhibition entitled New Blood.
