RESCUE workers in China were today desperately searching for tens of thousands of people trapped by the worst earthquake in 30 years.
The death toll rose to 11,921, said Wang Zhenyao, disaster relief director at the ministry of civil affairs, as rescue teams fought to reach the epicentre of the 7.9-magnitude earthquake where at least 4,800 people remained buried in Mianzhu, 60 miles away.See the full content of this document
