THIS week's reports that the [pounds]12 billion NHS computer program has stalled were as inevitable as Christmas. Outside experts, MPs and the computer press have warned for years that it would never work. This pig-headed Government pressed on, and threw another [pounds]12 billion of public money down the drain.
