A CHARITY reception hosted by Princess Michael of Kent has been axed after she became embroiled in a race row.

She was due to host the party today at Kensington Palace to celebrate cancer sufferer Jane Tomlinson completing a cycling trip from Italy to Britain. But the event was cancelled at the last minute because charity organisers felt the row could overshadow Mrs Tomlinson's achievement.
