THE housing market is stabilising, Britain's biggest mortgage lender said today as it reported a small decline in property prices, writes Jane Padgham.
Halifax said the price of an average home fell by 0.5% to Pounds 162,816 in February. It was the first fall since November and followed gains of 1.4% in December and 0.7% in January. The year-on- year rate of increase slowed to 12.1% - the weakest since December 2001.See the full content of this document
