PRINCE WILLIAM could be asked to make a high-profile appearance when London makes its final pitch for the 2012 Olympics in July, it emerged today.

With Prime Minister Tony Blair unable to attend the vote of the International Olympic Committee in Singapore because he will be hosting a G8 summit, it is understood that talks between low-level officials from the Bid and the Palace have already taken place.
