BRITAIN has become the sick man of the PO maritime empire, according to latest figures showing a slump in passengers using its ferries from Dover to Calais and a dive in business and profits at its port in Southampton.
PO shares fell 91/4p to a sixmonth low of 304p after it reported a 13% drop in the number of passengers it carried across the Dover Straits between July and September, leaving a massive 18% shortfall in the number carried at less than six million in the year to date.See the full content of this document
