CHICKENS, HUGH AND TESCO TOO 9pm, Channel 4 The Hugh of the title is our old friend Fearnley- Whittingstall, the fellow who sounds as if he has escaped from a Molesworth story, but is instead the arch- prophet of decent grub, decently despatched.
The chickens of the title are those poor birds who live a life of unimaginable strictures in order to appear on our plates as bargain basement food. Last year, Hugh exposed the truth about the factory farming of chickens and got himself a whole heap of poo in the press for his troubles.
