THE number of hospital beds in London has fallen by 15 per cent over the past 10 years, it was claimed today.
Department of Health figures show the number of beds in acute medicine, general surgery and maternity wards across the capital has fallen. There were 47 beds per 10,000 people in 1997-98 compared with 40 beds per 10,000 people by 2005-06.See the full content of this document
