PLANS to build five-a-side football pitches in Regent's Park are set to be rejected after huge opposition.

The Royal Parks Agency applied to build nine floodlit pitches on synthetic grass on the site of the park's former golf and tennis school. The proposals sparked 670 letters of objection, including 10 petitions with almost 2,300 signatures and 1,465 signed postcards.
