Oil Giants' Interest Points to Strong Start for Rosneft Listing

ONE of the most controversial major listings in the history of the London Stock Exchange is set to get off to a strong start after oil giants around the globe piled in to take strategic stakes in Russia's flagship energy company Rosneft.

State-controlled Rosneft has indicated it expects its flotation next week to be priced at a minimum of $7.15 a share. That will put the amount of money Rosneft is raising at as much as $11 billion (Pounds 6 billion) and give the oil giant a market capitalisation of up to $80 billion.
