AS its Pounds 18 billion takeover by Telefonica was today completed, mobile phone group O2 revealed that it had its best Christmas quarter ever, and has almost certainly stormed ahead to become the UK's largest mobile company in terms of subscribers.
It added 895,000 new UK customers in the three months to end- December, taking its total to a whisker below 16 million - and that does not include the one million Tesco customers who use the O2 network. Vodafone reveals its numbers tomorrow.See the full content of this document
