ICELANDIC retail raider Baugur is said to be lining up a possible bid for formal fashionwear chain Moss Bros, which is currently valued at Pounds 76 million.
The Icelanders, who are currently completing the Pounds 350 million takeover of House of Fraser, have bold plans to merge Moss Bros with Sir Tom Hunter's branded fashion chains USC, D2, Office and Qube according to Retail Week. The deal could also involve Moss Bros 6% shareholder Kevin Stanford adding his All Saints chain to the group.
