AIM-LISTED oil exploration and production company Northern Petroleum plans to start drilling work on the first of two onshore wells on the Isle of Wight in December or January.
Exploration manager Graham Heard says the sites may contain up to 230 million barrels of recoverable oil. If that were the case, it would become Britain's second-largest onshore field, second only to Europe's largest, Wytch Farm in Dorset, from which BP hopes to extract up to 600 million barrels.See the full content of this document
