A BAN on smokers lighting up in public places in London took a dramatic step forward today.
Councils are to ask Parliament for powers to outlaw smoking in workplaces, pubs and restaurants across the city - with Enfield poised for a trial next year. This would make it the first place in Britain to introduce a ban.See the full content of this document
