Summary
Mr STink by David Walliams illustrated by Quentin Blake (HarperCollins, Pounds 12.99) DaviD Walliams's second novel for children once again features a downtrodden 12-year-old having a hard time at school and at home. This time it's a girl called Chloe Crumb, who is overweight and underachieving, at least compared to her perfect younger sister annabelle.
But her life changes when she befriends a malodorous tramp called Mr Stink, who has taken up residence on a nearby wooden bench with his smelly dog Duchess. She sneaks him into the shed at the bottom of her garden, feeds him sausages and discovers she is much happier with him than with her hideously aspirational, chilly mother or sweet but hopelessly henpecked father.See the full content of this document
