THE son of an alleged Levin drug dealer was used as a mule to carry methamphetamine into New Zealand from Australia and was once paid "40 Es" for his trouble, it was claimed in a High Court jury trial yesterday.

The jury, sitting in Palmerston North, heard police surveillance tapes in which a man the Crown alleges is Andrew Crombie discusses the plan with another man.
