JOSE MOURINHO today insisted that his relationship with Steve McClaren is good enough to prevent club versus country rows.

The Chelsea head coach may have a case for complaining about his England counterpart's use of Ashley Cole in Wednesday's 2-0 defeat by Croatia. The defender injured his ankle and was left to hobble around for the last 30 minutes. McClaren made three substitutions, but left the former Arsenal trainee on.
