SIR Ken Morrison today swept away the whole of the Safeway board of directors under his takeover plans as the final two executives were shown the door.
In an announcement made as Safeway admitted to a decline in like- for-like sales of more than 4% over Christmas and the New Year, Morrison said that trading director Jack Sinclair and operations director Lawrence Christensen would quit as a result of its Pounds 3 billion takeover.See the full content of this document
