FERNANDO MORIENTES scored his first goal at Anfield this season as Liverpool eased towards the last 16 of the Champions League.

Morientes set Liverpool on the way to a 3-0 win over Anderlecht which lifted the reigning champions three points clear of Chelsea at the top of Group G It was the Spaniard's 27th strike in Champions League matches for Real Madrid, Monaco and his present club but he limped off in the second half.
