ARTIST Paul Fryer is out to shock. To coincide with the Frieze Art Fair in Regent's Park he will be displaying a waxwork ape nailed to a cross in a deconsecrated church across the road from the park.
Earlier this year Fryer, who has collaborated with Damien Hirst and exhibited at the Tate and the Courtauld, showed his Pieta, a black Christ figure in an electric chair, in the cathedral of the French Alpine town of Gap. It caused outrage at the time.See the full content of this document
