A DEFENCE minister has been accused of trying to stop a Commons inquiry into spiralling costs of two warships, writes Joe Murphy.
Members of the all-party Defence Committee say they were "flabbergasted" that Lord Drayson suggested it was "not a good time" for a probe into two carriers costing Pounds 13 billion. The scheme is two years behind schedule and in danger of breaking its budget because of contractor rows.
